Mount Tsetserra is a mountain peak in the Chimanimani Mountains, overlooking the Chicamba Dam and close to the Zimbabwe border. The mountain and its forests are in pristine condition and comprise a site of staggering beauty. As one ascends the mountain, one passes through a complete succession of forest types, from miombo woodlands at the base to afromontane forest. Most of the specials can be seen in a day visit, but the awesome beauty of the place compels one to linger.

EditFacilitiesThere is a rudimentary campsite at the summit, run by the department of wildlife. Accommodation is available in the area.
EditGeneralOn the main road from Mutare to Beira, take the right turn to Chicamba (about 15 km after passing the sign to Casa Msika). Cross the bridge below the dam wall and continue for about 60 km. The road ends at the mountain top. The road is in good condition, but four wheel drive is recommended for the ascent, because of steep gradients and loose gravel. The site is earmarked for future ecotourism development. More information can be obtained from the reserve ecologist stefaan_dondeyne@yahoo.co.uk.
