I spotted the very rare Cardinal Quela in my garden (Meerensee), two males and at least three females. I took photos of the males and already forwarded it to bird watching friends to make sure that I do not mistake it with the more common, but also rare Redhead Quesla. All agree that it is definetely the Cardinal Quela. According to the Sasol guide it should not appear in this area. Comments please, I will forward photos if interested.
